I learned that if you want something in a store, just put it in your mouth, chew on it, and then your dad will have to buy it.

While mom's away!

When the cats away the dogs will play

Yes, mom is still gone and its just been me and Dad. We have made a big mess of the apartment and we even got into a little tussel with an old dog in the elevator. I learned that if you are not nice to other dogs you shouldn't be let out in public, or live in an apartment building. Needless to say this dog in my building wasn't very nice and he attacked me. It personally scared the %&@*#t out of me, but my dad made it ok, and then he yelled at the owner. Dad's are great for sticking up for you.

Mom's Away!

So this morning my mom went home to Michigan by her self, and today I am learning the begining of GUYS' TIME!!!! Dad and I already hung out this morning, we went for a little walk, then we came home and while he was getting ready for work I ate the bottom of the box spring. Tonight I am thinking we might lounge around on the couch, spill food everywhere, maybe even go to the dog park and check out the Bitches! Spending time with dad is so much fun!

Mice and Listening to Dad

Last night we had dinner at a fine little tiny restaurant in the West Village called Tanti Baci Caffe. My parents say it is one of those places where you see it all the time and always think 'let's go there' but forget about it. Well we went. Its about the size of a shoe box and it has an outdoor patio. The food I heard is great, simple fresh pastas. Anyway I am not here to give restaurant reviews since I don't eat people food, but I am here to tell you about my experience, and last night I learned about MICE!

See sitting outside, I noticed these little fuzzy things running along the edges of the street. I was teathered to my table, and everytime one went, I would jump up, yank everything off the table crashing to the ground trying to catch one of these little things. I couldn't do it. So eventually after dinner, and as the area cleared out, my dad pulled me aside and said let me give you some father puppy pointers.

He said: "The key here is to block the mice from returning to their den, so you have to cut in towards then den driving them out to the open area where you can catch them."

I heard: "pant, pant, pant, blah blah blah blah"

So needless to say, I spent a lot of time trying to find them as they shot back into their holes, and I didn't catch any of the mice. Last night I learned that even with little fuzzy mice you should always listen to your dad.

My favorite things

So I have officially decided my favorite things:

1. Paper! I love eating paper!
2. Cuddling with my mom, she is the only person I will cuddle with and stay still.
3. Eating anything on top of my dad. Bones, toys, sticks, balls, etc. As long as I am laying on top of my dad I enjoying eating anything.
4. Morning rubs.
5. My squaking duck. Though I am not sure why no one will touch it anymore. . .It smells great to me.

Swimming and Running

So on Friday night I went to spend the weekend in the "suburbs" with my mom's parents outside of Detroit. I had never been to anyplace where you have your own dog park, where you can pee and poop without having to have someone clean it up, and where you can. . .Get this. . . SWIM!!!! I am serious! Swimming! I went swimming in the lake. You see it all started very innocently. I had just gone for a run with my dad on a wooded trail (also a first time), and my dad let me off the leash. I learned that if you run ahead, all you have to do is wait a second or two and you will be found, but you have to stay still.

Anyway back to swimming, so we came back from our run, grabbed a drink of water out of the hose, and went to the backyard. You see, being the fact that I try not to ever look tired around my dad, I grabbed the ball and we started doing a game of fetch. Shortly but surely we started moving closer and closer to the water (there is a lake in my grandparents backyard), and then I realized it was a GIGANTIC water bowl, filled with stuff to eat!!!!

So I made my way into the water and began gorging! After a few minutes my dad decided to throw the ball in to the water! I was a little frightened at first, but because I know my dad would NEVER do anything to harm me I went for it. I started to go under! It was terrifying! But then I came up! and I could swim! I could swim!!! I grabbed the ball and brought it back to my dad! He threw it back! I dove in to get it! And we were swimming!

Today I learned that if you don't know how to do something, just go for it, you might drown for a few minutes but you will come up!

I spent the weekend in Chicago, and had a great time. I flew on United and it was a wonderful trip, everyone was so nice. I learned that if you behave yourself people will be nice to you.

What goes in must come out

So this morning I learned a very valuable lesson: what goes in must come out. I am not exactly sure when it happened but I ate one of those fuzzy cat mice from a pet store, I kind of don't really know when I did it, and I really don't know if anyone paid for it. . . Anyway, I ate this mouse, fast and quickly, not one of the big ones but one of the small ones.

Now this morning when I went to the bathroom first it was pretty small. So I went upstairs and did my usual: ate some food, chewed on dad (we didn't go to the park cause everyone was tired), climbed all over dad while he tried to relax, stuck my head in the shower, licked dad's wet legs when he came out, stole some of dad's socks, chewed on Dad's mobile phone, you get the idea. Then when I went to go again before dad went to work, you will never believe it but the mouse came back out!!! This time it was hairless, but it did have its eyes and it even had one of those price tag barbs (I think that's what its called)!!! AMAZING!!!

I can't wait to see what happens when I swallow Dad's cell phone!

Been a while-Getting wet

I know I know its been a while, but my Dad has been traveling, and my mom went to see him, and I spent the weekend hanging out with my aunt and uncle. They were great, we had a wonderful time. But I wanted to share my new favorite thing, playing in water! I learned this morning if you go to the dog park, get all wet and messy than roll around on the ground it feels really nice! And I get to change colors from a golden yellow to a dusty grey.
